PRONUNCIATION / INTONATION
This class is designed to improve an accented speaker's speech sound production in social and business settings. Individuals learn to identify and correct their accented sounds as well as learn the skills necessary to communicate more effectively.
The musical aspects of speech are targeted with intonation exercises. Individuals will learn to improve their pitch, stress, duration and speech rate in order to improve their communicative effectiveness.
ADVANCED PRONUNCIATION
If you want to continue to refine your pronunciation skills, this program is for you. The course will be structured to meet your needs. Other communication skills can also be targeted in this class.
STANDARD ENGLISH
This class is designed to teach non-standard English speakers pronunciation and grammatical skills. Individuals will learn appropriate speaking skills for the professional workplace.
VOCABULARY
As you progress through your organization, more and more demands will be placed upon your communication skills. You will be expected to communicate with peers, subordinates and upper management. Whether speaking on the telephone, in meetings, or across the table from your client or customer, you and your company will be judged upon the power of your vocabulary.
